Here is a suggestion for a quick and easy trout fillet recipe that I made last night with some tasty, large Lake Davis trout that Eric brought back from his trip up there this weekend. Go for it!
- 2 large trout fillets
- 1/2 cracker meal
- 1/2 C milk
- 1 tsp. Lawry's Seasoned pepper
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- olive oil
Dip trout fillets into milk. Drain. Combine cracker meal with seasoned pepper and salt. Dredge fillets in the seasoned meal. Let breading set for ten minutes. Meanwhile, heat pan and add 1/4" of oil to heat to medium-high. When oil is hot, add fillets. Cook quickly on each side to lightly brown, approximately 2 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of your fillets. Serves two.
