This is one of my favorite ways to cook fresh Halibut. Enjoy and I hope to see this on your
page. .. Well Rich, here it is!
- One to two pounds fresh Halibut steaks
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- garlic salt to taste
- black pepper
- one cup ritz crackers
- half cup flour
Cut the steaks in several pieces. Put the eggs in the milk and Wisk. Season
this with garlic salt, pepper or your favorite season. Mix ritz crackers (mash to crumbs) and
flour. Add more seasons to this. Dip the fish into the egg and milk than
into the flour/cracker crumb mix. If you like it double dipped do it one more time. Place
the coated fish into a skillet with about 1/2 inch of your favorite cooking
oil. Cook until golden brown. Take some fresh lemon and season to taste. If
you like the beer batter taste substitute one cup of your favorite beer for
one of the original two cups milk.
