40lb King Salmon caught in Monterey Bay, Thursday May 13 on Chris' Fishing
Trips. 30 lb line... it took 25 minutes to get it in the boat but it was
worth it. The Captain said it was the biggest that has come out of the bay
in 3 years. Billy Espino
Hayward Calfornia
Tracy McCormack of Eureka hit it big at Big
Lagoon Saturday when she landed a 30-inch chromer
steelhead at the north end. It was caught on a night
crawler on 10-pound test and split shot sinker. She
also caught three more that averaged about 25 inches,
as well as a six-inch cutthroat trout. "The steelhead
are jumping."
Just thought you might be interested in my catch at Clear Lake 5-20-04. I had a 23.5 lb limit (6, 5.5, 5.5, 4, and 2.5) from senkos flipped into tules. Apparently, most of the lake is in post-spawn and I must have found a pocket that were still on beds (no sight fishing though, water not clear enough after winds).

I got this 10# Lake Trout at Buck's Lake on May 11, on a white Buzz Bomb, in 50 feet of water. It was a borrowed lure that I have never caught anything on before, and the hook fell out in the net. It was my biggest trout in many years. Ed Glenn (aka Capt. Grampa)

Almost looks like a brown trout, but it's a rainbow. I slayed 11 and the one hog makes 12 at Hauser Lake.
The beer is what did it. It's trout slayer ale and says a bigger tail with every ale.
I told my uncle that when I drink one of these I get a fish and it works. Trolled for 30 minutes without a bite and opened one of these and had one in under 2 minutes and 2 drinks off the first beer.
Took another to get another and so on and so on and so on. Stryker the Montana fishing fool.
My six year old son, Nicholas' first fish. A nice rainbow taken at Caples Lake on May 22nd. As you can see he is very proud of his catch. Dad was skunked as cold winds came up. Once we got cellular service he called his mom to tell her she did not need to cook dinner that night as he had that under control.... dad and son enjoyed the son's fine catch. Nick stated several times while eating "this is the best fish I've ever had". As his dad I haven't enjoyed a fish more either. Thanks, Tim McPherson
