From Glenn of Placerville: Went fishing up on Lake Berryessa for trout, but only caught a few. Seems the hot weather has put them deep. We were trolling minnows at 20' when I picked up this crappie. Didn't measure or weigh it before releasing it. Have a good one!

Bob and Jim with Kokanee limits
From Frank Gault, Bob Willet, and Jim Middleton: Bob & Jim with their limits from Melones Sunday. We attended the Glory Hole Sports fishing seminar and then followed the guides' boats around & really got into some nice fish! Not that we needed any help, the day before was almost as good in the same spot... Black Bart Cove ...right across from Angels Cove. These fish are unusually big seems like... some are almost 2 lbs already. They went for orange hum-dingers and red wedding rings behind slingblades at 30-45 feet. 1.2mph.
The fishing was so good today that some people who took demo-rides with the big-shot guides were getting limits during their 1-1/2 hour rides! We weren't quite as skillfull, so it took us 4 hours to get ours.

My partner, Jim Dickerson (above), struggled to catch fish all day and with his new GLoomis flipp'n stick, then he hooks a 6lb large mouth flipping the docks. What a fish to break in a new rod!!! Below is myself with a smaller Clear Lake large mouth. Thanks! Love the webpage!

From Fish Hookers Sportfishing: Hi Richard, Mike Steele (left) of Discovery Bay caught this 59 inch sturgeon and Harry Moitozo of Modesto caught a 56 inch sturgeon while fishing the 1st Annual Great Sturgy Get Together presented by the Fish Sniffer Trash Talkers Board. These guys were fishing with Barry Canevaro on Sunday in Montezuma Slough. Harry's fish took second place and Mike's fish took 4th place. The slot size was 52 inches.

I made a post on the trout talk board just now and thought I'd send this photo of a client from R.I. who boated and released over 40 rainbows and two brookies on the Merced River with me in less that 6 hrs! Fly fishing....
