Neptune Adventures and Marlin Hunt International are proud to announce that they will again be sponsoring a charitable fishing tournament to be held October 2nd through October 6th, 2000 at "The Pearl of the Pacific", beautiful Mazatlan, Mexico. Although in its eighth year, this year's event is titled the "Marlin Hunt Sportfishing Millennium Tournament", and is open to men, women and children of all levels of experience - from novice to expert. "The goal is to bring fun back to tournament fishing", says Ozzie Castro of Neptune Adventures.

Tournament participants will be staying at the beautiful Las Flores Hotel Suites located on the beach in the midst of Mazatlan's famed "Golden Zone". Quality restaurants, nightclubs, and a large variety of shopping opportunities are within a short walking distance of the hotel.
As part of the awards banquet on the last evening of the tournament, a contribution will be presented to the Mayor of Mazatlan for the benefit of charitable children's organizations in the city. In addition, after weigh-in and picture taking, all fish brought in as a result of the tournament will be donated for distribution to orphanages and needy families in the Mazatlan area.
Mazatlan's weather in October is normally quite balmy with daytime temperatures ranging from the mid 80's to the low 90's. Seas are usually quite calm during this time. Great weather, great fishing, great lodging, great food, great nightlife - what more could you ask for! All the ingredients are in place for a fabulous experience at the Marlin Hunt Sportfishing Millennium Tournament.

Thanks to the support of the many sponsors listed below, a long list of
first-class prizes will be awarded during the tournament. Among these will be a new pickup truck, round trip airfare for two from Los Angeles to Mazatlan, a five day stay for two at the Las Flores Hotel Suites, a cruise, and many other exciting prizes. The package price for the tournament is $615.00, excluding airfare. The package includes five days, four nights and three days of tournament fishing, lodging at the Las Flores Hotel Suites (based on triple occupancy), ground transfers, modern sportfishing cruisers with four anglers per boat, fishing licenses, and all necessary fishing tackle. Of course, you may bring and use your own tackle, however, some tournament rules may apply to the type of line and other items. This package price also includes the tournament entry fee, a significant portion of which is designated as the charitable contribution.
