Late report. Managed to jump aboard a vessel headed for the Delta.

We got a late start and didn't manage to get a line wet until 9ish. Great day for fishing, high 70' low 80's with scattered clouds (perfect). Cool

Launched out of Hollands and not far from there we made our first stop and first cast I got a bite but missed it. I was hoping that was the sign of a good day.

It wasn't a monster day, but better than my last few try's in the Delta. We couldn't figure out what the pattern was, but some spots it was dead and in others we'd get bit up like crazy. Lipless cranks were working but they were loving the creature bait that day. By sundown we finished the day with 9 (the bugs were getting crazy). A few little stripers were caught too.

A bunch of fish were missed. Had a lot of followers on the the cranks, but could only get a couple of takers (tried different retrieves). Lots of nibbles on the creature but I missed way more than I could stick. We still had fun. Added some pics of the first few fish, all small, but everybody likes pics right?

Is it just me, or does the delta water and fish look a lot healthier than the past?

Fish hard.....like, "I ain't got time for a sandwich." hard.

With more water in the system, maybe it get's flushed more/further up.

Its also been hard for me this year to catch any of size. The biggest may have been about 3 lbs. All those fish that bit your creature bait were likely small and just could not get hooked. I am gonna give it another try on Thursday.
