Union Valley (UVR) 7-15 Slow... For Kokes

djPH picked me up this morning and we had the the lines in the water at 5:50am. dj had the first fish on in less than ten minutes but lost it soon after that. The koke appeared to be about 17" and almost knocked itself out on the back of the boat as it decided to go airborn right at the back of the boat. Next fish on was mine and lost the fish just before it could be netted, dj had two more fish... A nice holdover rainbow with a full tail and a 15" koke and then the bite totally shutdown. I threw everthing I had at the for kokes for the next few hours but the only thing we could draw a strike on was Ken's Purple Spinner.
While I continued to fish for kokes to no avail dj switched over to Macks and was duly rewared... After a 20 minute battle he ended up landing a 12+lb gorgeous mack. His fish was definiately the highlight of the this year but me being a koke fisherman... Decided to post this on the koke board Grin

Ended up the day with 1 koke, 1 rainbow, alot of rat Macks and one lunker and all fish but the koke were released to be caught another day.

Definiately a good day on the water with great company.
